Preserving Local Culture
Nakha is a sub-district rich in culture and local wisdom as it is well-known for its Mee Kit fabrics. Here, the culture and the way of living are inherently bound together with the locals, the community, schools and Buddhism. Thus, in this program, we designed a learning activity to engage participants in different cultural practices. We empower the locals to become educators in their own way of life such as making natural indigo dying and Issan’s Teen Jok pattern.
